When looking for privacy and quiet in a luxurious setting, look no further than Cameron Heights. This exclusive neighbourhood in southwest Edmonton overlooks the North Saskatchewan River Valley and features large residences on estate homesites. The relaxed ambience of Cameron Heights makes it easy to forget you're in the city; in fact, there's only one way into the neighbourhood, via Cameron Heights Drive.
Cameron Heights, like much of southwest Edmonton, is a relatively new section of the city. Most homes here are single-family, but there are some high-end townhomes as well. Residences in Cameron Heights are on the larger side, so if you need more than four bedrooms, this is the place to be.
While this private enclave may be small and secluded, there are some great parks here, particularly Wedgewood Ravine.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping
Although Cameron Heights is a bit of an island, some wonderful restaurants are only a few minutes away.
Hayloft Steak & Fish is an upscale spot that serves locally sourced beef and fish in a sophisticated ambience. The odds are that you've probably seen the chef's food columns and recipes in the Edmonton Sun. Woodshed Burgers is another place to get your beef fix, although in a slightly less fancy setting. If you’re craving pizza, Monty's Pizza is right next door and serves the best pizza in Edmonton.
There's also the fabulous Malina Ukrainian Bakery that not only has the best baked goods but it also has lots of prepared foods to go and will even cater your Thanksgiving feast.
Things to Do
The Wedgewood Ravine has gorgeous walking trails and a trailhead in Cameron Heights for easy access. The trail is an easy 3.7-kilometre loop most of the year, but can get fairly icy in the winter. Hikers still come here during the colder months; however, they wear cleats or snowshoes.
Cameron Heights also has an outdoor skating rink that's open, weather permitting, during the winter months. It's a community rink that relies on volunteers to keep it maintained. Memberships are available for Cameron Heights residents.
